This week my memories carried me back to when I was part of a beautiful Kundalini yoga community in Illinois. This type of yoga works with the energy centers known as chakras, a subject I will discuss in future posts. Claudia, a friend, led the weekly classes that included sharing in an authentic and vulnerable way. A phrase she frequently used has stuck with me all these years, "Healing is an inside job."

Today, I will share a guided meditation to help you create an Inner Resource. The Inner Resource is a place that will help you feel safe and can return to when life becomes chaotic. I learned this helpful tool during my level one Warriors at Ease training (trauma-informed training for the military community). I offer this meditation in the community yoga classes I teach. The words are not mine, as I pulled them from a YouTube video led by The Mindful Movement. Check out this channel for its many beneficial offerings.

Prior to starting the meditation, find a position of comfort (lying, sitting, covered with a blanket, etc.) to begin healing from the inside. Until next time -

Namaste,

Tim
