A Final Farewell to a Loyal and Loving Friend
As many of you know from a previous post, I shared that my wife Judy and I assisted our beloved American Eskimo dog, Vino, to cross the Rainbow Bridge on June 10th, 2022. His passing was heartbreaking as he was our loyal and loving friend for thirteen years (he was 14 at the time of transition). It was an honor to offer him safe passage once he told us it was his time to part ways. This compassionate act is why we are healing from his loss. The house is quieter, but his spirit lives on forever.
A few days ago (October 25th), we bid our final farewell at Jump Off Rock, located in Laurel Park, North Carolina. As we journeyed to the summit of this peaceful venue, I was holding the walnut box that carried Vino's ashes and felt energetically connected to his soul. Upon arrival at our ceremonial spot, I gently scattered his spirit below a rock ledge which landed on a bed of autumn leaves. Afterward, Judy and I sat reverently on a park bench, one of Vino's favorite spots to take in the scenery.
We fondly remember this gentle (sometimes hyper), beautiful four-legged being who rescued us so many years ago. Please enjoy the montage of pictures and one final rendition of Over the Rainbow.
Goodbye, sweet Vino, and rest easy as you reconnect with Mother Earth.
Until next time-
Namaste,
Tim
