"What lies behind us and what lies before us are but tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Henry S. Haskins.

The above inspirational quote (attributed to many sources) encourages the reader to remain present. Haskins notes that the past and future are less significant compared to the resiliency within each of us - the ability to move forward in the face of adversity. Here in Western North Carolina, the rebuilding continues after Hurricane Helene.

Many stories have been written and reported about what is or is not happening concerning the rescue and recovery efforts, which I have discussed in previous posts. Recently, a friend shared a YouTube video compilation of real-time events with me. The approximately 24-minute montage created by the Looking Glass Studios Channel is a powerful testament to the resiliency of the human spirit. What you will witness and hear is more powerful than the written word. As we honor Thanksgiving, please remember those still affected by the storm and those tasked with restoration and recovery.

I want to take the opportunity to thank the following organizations for allowing me to share the gift of yoga as part of their mission to build resiliency among our veterans, active-duty military personnel, and those who support this sector of the population: Warriors at Ease, Warrior Canine Connection, the Veterans Healing Farm, and AT EASE! Veterans Magazine. It is an honor and a privilege to collaborate with these fine people. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, and until next time -

Namaste,

Tim
