FROM SERVICE TO CIVILIAN

Several weeks ago, I penned a post titled On Separation From Service (6/30/2022), where I shared thoughts on my last day as a licensed paramedic. Today, I would like to take a step back to discuss the timeline of my transition from active service to civilian life.

Recently, I had the opportunity to catch up with a great peer support colleague and friend Tom Howard, who is the host of The Fire Inside Podcast. He invited me to share how I went from a fire lieutenant to a yoga teacher and all things in between. While the podcast audience is primarily first responders, I believe everyone can benefit from this discussion. As the saying goes, "all good things must come to an end."
